This is the biggest lesson I have learned. I used to think that every think I desired, or wanted to get better at, was to satisfy my need and greed. But I eventually realised that the most happiness I felt was in moments when I used my gifts ( skills, talents, money, possessions) to make other’s lives better.
Even if it is something as simple as making someone smile, or as complex as paying someone’s full year’s tuition because they can’t. I believe the eventual purpose of all of us is to impact the lives of others in a positive way — to make a difference. To stand for something which is bigger than our own self-absorbing egoistic self.
